Position:

iMentor is currently seeking a highly motivated, adaptable and organized Talent Manager to help the organization identify, recruit, and hire the exceptional talent needed to lead a national mentoring movement.  Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Talent, the Talent Manager will play a critical role in building iMentor’s team during a period of significant growth.  The Talent Manager will be responsible for building robust and diverse talent pipelines for iMentor, supporting a wide variety of searches at once, and for screening candidates at all levels of the organizational chart.  The Talent Manager will be the face of iMentor to prospective candidates throughout all stages of the application process and will work collaboratively with hiring managers across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Managing Director of Talent and hiring managers across the organization with all aspects of the hiring process, including scoping roles, writing job descriptions, and developing assessment tools
  • Manage the logistics for up to 10 searches at a time including launching searches, tracking and reporting candidate’s status, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates and managing staff involvement
  • Conduct 20+ interviews each week (in person and over the phone), document feedback, provide recommendations, and follow-up with next steps
  • Research, identify and cultivate broad talent pipelines
  • Ensure that all job postings are strategically posted and distributed to ensure high quantity and quality of applicants including utilizing social media, strategic partnerships and events
  • Coordinate and participate in special projects including but not limited to publicizing professional development resources, coordinating iMentor’s bi-annual staff satisfaction survey and helping iMentor apply for recognition opportunities

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in roles that require the use of strong project management, qualitative analysis and communication skills; direct experience with recruiting and hiring preferred
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously and with strong attention to detail
  • Customer service orientation with superior relationship-building skills; superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learner and hard worker with the ability to thrive under pressure and deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of tact, discretion and diplomacy while dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • A strong belief in the power of mentoring and a passion for leveling the playing field for young people growing up in underserved communities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
