Position:

Get Schooled Foundation is currently seeking an ambitious and outgoing Manager of School Partnerships to build and manage relationships with partner schools nationwide.  With primary responsibility for establishing new partnerships as well as supporting current partners’ participation in Get Schooled initiatives, the Manager of School Partnerships will work with the senior leadership to develop a strategic outreach plan to engage new and existing partner schools, develop new engagement strategies for schools and students around key issue areas, and provide feedback from key constituents to inform future initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, build and manage relationships with all Get Schooled partner schools nationwide. Increase network and participation in all geographic regions, and support partner schools in their participation in Get Schooled initiatives
  • Lead all Get Schooled Foundation communication with schools, networks and school districts
  • Develop new engagement strategies for youth and schools around key education issues, including developing incentives, rewards, use of social media, and challenge components
  • Closely track school demographic and outcomes data in coordination with the Analytics Manager
  • Coordinate with internal leadership and contractors on media, collateral and social media as needed to support programmatic efforts
  • Identify needs and feedback of key constituents, including managing student and principal advisory groups, and administering frequent surveys; and communicate feedback and best practices to organizational leadership to be incorporated into future strategy.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience, including direct experience working in or with schools
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including creating and implementing detailed plans and juggling multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build strong relationships with key decision-makers, including over the phone and through email
  • Sense of humor, flexibility and ability to work as a team player in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with and/or strong passion for education reform and the goals and vision of Get Schooled, and a strong belief in the power of pop culture to positively influence education in this country
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
