Position:

Revolution Foods is currently seeking a dynamic Manager of New School Partnerships for our Northern California market who can build strong relationships with school districts, charter and independent schools, and other education organizations in the communities we serve.  With primary responsibility for growing the number of Revolution Foods’ school customers in Northern California, the Manager of New School Partnerships will serve as the initial contact for partners, engaging them in Revolution Foods’ mission of improving food and food service in schools and identifying mutually beneficial partnership opportunities. Reporting directly to the Northern California General Manager, the Manager of New School Partnerships is responsible for cultivating and securing new customers and increasing revenue for their market.  This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven and savvy relationship-builder to lead business development and partner outreach in a fast paced and growth oriented enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and cultivate new school partners to increase local revenue, improving the market’s overall size, scope and efficiency; lead all new partners through the sign-up process in an efficient and effective way to ensure the highest levels of customer service
  • Proactively identify, research and cultivate a variety of new partners (charter school networks, Head Start programs, after-school programs, traditional school districts, private and parochial schools, community centers, etc.)
  • Establish and maintain relationships with school administrators such as principals, superintendents, charter operators, and other strategically identified stakeholders to make a compelling case for using Revolution Foods as their meal service vendor
  • Generate interest in Revolution Foods and represent the organization at conferences, industry events, speaking engagements and other key business building engagements
  • Use Salesforce.com to track sales pipeline and business development progress

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in sales/business development and/or fundraising; experience working with or within schools and school organizations strongly preferred
  • Engaging presence and strong ability to build authentic relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of setting clear, measurable goals, tracking progress against them, and attaining high levels of success
  • Prior experience within the education reform community is highly desired; demonstrated affinity for and interest in the mission of Revolution Foods required
  • Solid analytical skills – ability to understand constraints of the business model while remaining creative and resourceful in meeting partners’ needs
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to be part of a growing, fast paced environment where systems and processes are still being developed
  • Proven record as an effective project manager; strong organizational skills and follow-through
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and remain solutions-oriented with limited direction
  • Strong sense of self-awareness, ability to be upfront and honest and a willingness to adjust strategies and approaches when needed to achieve the highest level of results
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
