Position:
NCB Capital Impact is seeking a dynamic Director of Strategy and Innovation to design, direct and manage processes for innovation and strategy development that lead to new growth opportunities for the organization. The Director of Strategy and Innovation leads the creation of corporate and team level strategic plans, and corporate and team Balanced Scorecards and is responsible for designing and implementing a process for incorporating board and staff participation in the planning process, as well as methods for ensuring accountability and organizational learning.
Responsibilities:
- Work with and improve NCBCI’s current innovation process to ensure the development of new markets, partnerships, and products that lead to growth of the double bottom line
- Oversee a thorough and inclusive strategic planning process while working directly across all functional areas of NCBCI including the senior leadership team
- Oversee the launch of new innovations and programs and work directly with program teams to take over new programs at the appropriate stage
- Manage corporate and team level involvement in strategy and innovation processes on an annual basis. Design and implement interactive processes that are both top-down and bottom-up, and include NCBCI’s board of directors in appropriate ways.
- Develop mechanisms for capturing organizational learning and utilize those learnings to drive even more effective strategy and innovation processes
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to NCBCI’s mission and 5+ years of leadership experience in the fields of management consulting, financial services, community lending, or business administration
- Demonstrated experience in organizational development, strategic planning, and/or product development
- Ability to work cross-functionally and establish and manage a collaborative team environment
- Excellent project planning and management skills with an inclusive approach to team facilitation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred
