Utilizing an earned income business model that supports 95% of operating expenses, Network for Good has experienced tremendous growth since 2005, increasing their donations by more than 50% each year and increasing their staff from 7 to 40. Over the next year, Network for Good will launch a $5-7M growth capital campaign to support the development and roll-out of new and improved services to increase to 200:1 the return on investment of every dollar contributed.

Position:

Network for Good is currently seeking a dynamic leader to serve in the newly created role of Chief Development Officer to lead all aspects of the fundraising function for this entrepreneurial organization while focusing on raising $5-7M in growth capital.  Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Development Officer will design and drive all aspects of the capital campaign while ensuring that opportunities for foundation funding and corporate partnerships are fully leveraged.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the CEO to build and implement a strategic fundraising plan that will guide the organization to meet fundraising goals, maximizing opportunities around foundation, corporate, and individual donors
• Craft strategic plan to guide growth capital campaign and drive all aspects of implementation
• Identify, research and investigate new opportunities for funding from a wide variety of philanthropic and individual sources to expand Network for Good’s donor base
• Manage and grow own portfolio of donor relationships by building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with existing and prospective funders
• Leverage the time spent by the CEO and other organizational leaders on high-impact fundraising activities
• Oversee the preparation of high-quality materials, proposals, and reports required to support ongoing fundraising activities

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of demonstrated success driving revenue growth in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; experience with strategic fundraising in a nonprofit environment is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to identify high-net-worth donors and cultivate relationships leading to substantial commitments, with an exceptional ability to close deals
• Experience designing and implementing comprehensive and diversified fundraising plans
• Knowledge of the technology field and/or growth capital campaigns is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to target message to various audiences
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
