Position: | Root Cause is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Development Manager who will have primary responsibility for overseeing the strategic development, coordination and implementation of Root Cause’s fundraising initiatives. A new position created due to organizational growth, the Development Manager will build on the significant fundraising success of the organization to date. In the first year, the Development Manager will have three primary areas of responsibility: developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to capitalize an organizational business plan, coordinating all funding solicitations on behalf of the organization, and building systems and processes to ensure that Root Cause effectively pursues, tracks, and evaluates all funding opportunities. Moving forward, the Development Manager will explore and cultivate all funding opportunities, including individual, corporate, foundation and government, to ensure the continued success and growth of Root Cause’s dynamic programs. Responsibilities include developing and cultivating new and existing funder relationships, proposal writing, grant reporting, oversight of timely, high-quality communication with all funders and establishing systems necessary to support growth in the organization’s fundraising capacity. |
Responsibilities: | • Maintain and grow an active portfolio of individual, corporate, foundation and government donors through the research, cultivation, and stewardship phases; coordinate and participate in funder meetings with the President and CEO as appropriate

Qualifications: | • Several years of experience in development and fundraising with increasing responsibility and proven success raising money, building relationships, and increasing organizational visibility
