Overview: | Tenacity is a year round youth development organization that offers free literacy and tennis instruction to over 5,000 Boston youth in the summer and intensive after-school programs throughout the school year. Since its inception in 1999, Tenacity has raised more than $14 million in donations and has served more than 20,000 children, aged 7 to 15. The organization’s success has been built upon two core program offerings: the After-School Excellence Program, providing an intensive after-school literacy and tennis program with a focus on building resilience and the Summer Tennis and Reading Program, a city-wide neighborhood based tennis and academic enrichment program. Position: | Responsible for all grant-related activities that create and nourish support for Tenacity and its programs, the Grants Manager will partner with the Director of Development to surpass fundraising goals from foundation and government supporters. The Grants Manager will also be responsible for researching and identifying new sources for grant revenue. Working closely with program staff, management and board members, the Grants Manager will research, develop and write compelling grant proposals to existing foundation and government funders, manage the grants calendar. The Grants Manager will also put into place systems for accurate, clear and timely reporting to funders as well as processes designed to streamline and simplify the grant writing process. |

Qualifications: | Strong candidates for this position will have:
• At least 3 years of varied fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in grant writing
